Fujifilm XF 1655mm f/28 R LM WR Lens Fast forward to 16 and I'm a happy owner of a XE2 and I've got experience reviewing over a dozen Fujifilm cameras so my opinions are very different This time I'm also pairing it with the much more practical Fujifilm XF 1655mm f/28 R LM WR zoom instead of the razor sharp Fujifilm 35mm f/14 XF R I have been waiting for this lens too, but based on this set of images, I am not buying it I have 1855 now, hoped for 1680 to add range at each end and keep the quality AT LEAST as good as 1855 (far from stellar but definitely better than 1680) The problem is, based on the images above, it does not deliver The 1680XF has a constant aperture of F4, which is one stop slower than the F28 of the 1655mm The 1855mm has an aperture advantage on the wide end (f28), though the F4 maximum aperture is shared over a lot of the zoom range It's that smaller maximum aperture that allowed Fuji to deliver this focal range in such a compact body, however

I mostly shoot primes I have the Ziess 12, Fuji 23,35 & 90 Ive noticed Lately when Im out shooting for fun in always going into my bag to swap lenses It opens the door for dust and that inevitable dropped lens moment My question for any of you who own the 1655 is, aside from the 28 Zooming The XF 1655mm F28 WR is shortest at around 19mm In fact, the lens barely moves between 16 and 23mm, resulting in less overall protrusion, which is nice Both the XF 1855mm F284 OIS and XF mm F3556 OIS WR are at their shortest at 18mm, and they just get longer from thereFujifilm 1655mm f28 Megronjanderson?sub_confirmation=1
Fuji 1655 f28 vs 1680 f4 Real Life Comparison I spent days comparing the Fuji 1655 f28 vs 1680 f4 quibbling over the remarks that the latter wasn't sharp On paper the Fuji XF 1680mm f4 R OIS WR is the perfect lens for me as an Outdoor Environmental Photographer, but I was worried about getting one I shouldn't have been Next we'll compare Fuji's 1655mm f/28 to its full frame equivalents, the Nikon 2470mm f/28, the Canon 2470mm f/28 L, and the Canon 2470mm f/4 L Even though the 1655mm f/28 is one of Fuji's heftier lenses, it's still significantly lighter than the f/28 zooms from either Nikon or Canon Remarkably, it's actually heavier when XT1 XF1655mmF28 R LM WR @ 6mm, ISO 0, 1/210, f/56 At 655 grams, the XF 1655mm f/28 is a heavy lens When mounted on the Fuji XT1 camera body, it certainly makes the setup quite frontheavy To balance the lens a little better, I mounted the VGXT1 battery grip on the XT1 It certainly did make a difference, but it made it feel

Recently Fujifilm opened the door for photographers to have greater choice in a wide prime and released the Fujifilm XF 16mm f/28 This neat little prime lens is half the size, weight and cost of its older sibling yet still delivers great image quality and exceptional autofocus I prefer the smaller prime lenses that Fujifilm have recently released to provide more choice over similar focal In comparing the 1680 to my 1855 Overall, the 1680 has slightly better image quality on focal lengths they share The 1680 is sharper and has better contrast and better OIS In comparing to my beloved 1024mm, overall the 1680 is about equal At 16mm, the 1680 is slightly sharper in the center, and the 1024 is slightly sharper in the The XF 1680mm holds up quite well and viewing at 100% it is hard to spot any difference in sharpness in the center of the frame The further you move into the corners, the 1680mm gets softer compared to the primes All photos are straight out of camera XF 1680mm f/4 @ 16mm vs XF 14mm f/28 R @ 14mm

A few months back I reviewed the newest Fujinon lens in the Fuji "trinity" of fast, F28 zoom lenses That lens (the XF 816mm F28 WR) makes up the wide end of the spectrum while the XF mm F28 OS WR covers the telephoto end In between those lenses lies the most commonly used option – the jack of all trades – the XF 1655mm F28 WR p1 #2 p1 #2 1855mm F284 vs 1680mm F4 I've never found the 1855 to live up to its billing It's well built & fast, but IMHO it's actually the lowestperforming lens in this range Fuji makes It's not a bad lens at all (pretty good actually), but even the lowly 1650 outperformed it optically when I compared the two and it's very The Fujinon XF 1655mm f28 is a highend generalpurpose zoom lens for Fujifilm's range of Xmount mirrorless cameras Announced in January 15, it's the third standard zoom for the X series, following the XF 1855mm f284 kit zoom and the more recent XF mm f3556 Mounted on an Xseries body, the XF 1655mm delivers a useful
This Fuji 1680mm is a generalpurpose zoom It goes a little wider and longer than the smaller 1855mm f/284, but this 1680mm is bigger and more expensiveIt's made of metal and plastic This 1680mm is super sharp, as almost all lenses are today, and it also gets very close, probably replacing a macro lens for most people I'd get my 1680mm at Adorama, at Amazon, at B&H or
